group show: portraits

My daughter has taken to drawing. On a recent date to a coffee shop for hot chocolate and tea, she and I pulled out our sketchbooks. After drawing kitty cats (her) and cafe lights and customers (me), we drew each other. It was a fun mom / daughter date. It reminded me how much I love to sketch in situ. It also reminded me how hard drawing people is, especially capturing all the unique facial features. It helps me appreciate portrait artists. This group show of portraits is only the tip of the iceberg of amazing portraits.
